The statement that “Christ’s goodness reached unto His saints in the earth but God was high above and beyond it all,” is often used to imply that God was not involved in any way, shape or form. It is also used to suggest that the only thing Christ did was suffer for us. The problem with this statement is that it is wrong. If Christ was not involved in the plan of salvation, then why would he die? To say that He died for us because He had nothing to do with our salvation is ridiculous.

It is equally incorrect to say that God was not involved in Christ’s earthly ministry. As St. Paul said, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and He was buried...” (1 Corinthians 15:3).
